Maintenon International Golf

The Maintenon Golf Course is located in the northeast of Chartres, France, approximately 65 kilometers from Paris. It is situated within the famous gardens of the Château de Maintenon, renowned for the love story of Louis XIV and his second wife, Madame de Maintenon, as well as its exquisite architecture and gardens.

The Château de Maintenon, originally built in the Middle Ages, still retains two bell towers from the 12th and 13th centuries. Both owners of the castle left their mark on the architecture. The castle gardens were designed by Louis XIV's gardener, Le Nôtre, who also designed the gardens of Versailles. The poet Racine found inspiration here.

Deep within the gardens lie the remains of the aqueduct ordered built by Louis XIV, who intended to channel the waters of the Eure River from its source to Versailles. The remaining structures, including three rows of superimposed arches, are a UNESCO World Heritage site.
